Is there a cost to list an event?
Basic listings are free. Premium placement and promotional packages are available, please reach out for details.
What if I’ve never worked or created a major event before?
No worries, we welcome emerging talent!

We review all submissions to ensure relevance for our community.
Who can add their business to BGE?
Anyone who supports, uplifts, or contributes to Black LGBTQ+ events, whether you’re seasoned or just starting out.
Is there a cost to list a business?
Submitting your business listing is free. Premium placement and promotional packages are available, please reach out for details.
What kind of roles can I submit for?
DJs, promoters, bartenders, hosts/emcees, photographers, videographers, dancers, wellness facilitators, and more.
Can I submit for multiple roles?
Yes you can. We recommend that you start with your primary focus and use the correct categories and tags to help people find you.
Do I need to be based in a major city?
Absolutely, not! Our directory is optimized to support with users finding information around our community wherever they are.
We welcome submissions from all cities, states, countries, and especially those building community in underrepresented areas.

Can I include links to my work or social media?
Absolutely. We encourage you to share your IG, SoundCloud, website, or any links that shares more about you or your business.
Will my info be public?
Select details may be visible to organizers and community members browsing BlackGayEvents.com.
You’ll be able to opt in or out of public visibility.
Can I update my submission later?
Yes, you can. The information will be on your profile. You can access this after you log in.
I don’t see my role or business listed, can I suggest new categories or tags?
Absolutely. We’re always expanding. Whether you’re a set designer, accessibility coordinator, or spiritual guide, we want to reflect the full spectrum of Black queer creatives.
Can I request to be featured in a specific city or region?
Absolutely! Tag the BGE Featured City on the form. We’re building filters to help organizers find talent by city, region, and travel availability

You can always share your profile with others as this will direct them to the website. Also, your submission helps populate our searchable directory.
People can filter by city, role, specific tags, categories, availability and more.
Will Black Gay Events help me get booked?
While we do not function as a booking agency, our platform is designed to elevate visibility and foster meaningful connections. Event organizers may contact you directly based on your listed role, experience, and availability.
Can I be featured in a spotlight or creative series?
Yes! We regularly highlight community talent. Make sure your submission includes a short bio and standout links.
Can I collaborate with other creatives listed on Black Gay Events?
Yes! We encourage collaboration. Whether it’s a DJ + host combo or a wellness facilitator + photographer, community collabs are the heartbeat of this platform.

I submitted but haven’t heard back, what now?
Listings are reviewed daily. If you haven’t seen your profile or listing go live within 24 hours, feel free to follow up.
Will Black Gay Events help me get booked?
While we do not function as a booking agency, our platform is designed to elevate visibility and foster meaningful connections. Event organizers may contact you directly based on your listed role, experience, and availability.
Can I submit on behalf of someone else?
Yes, with their full consent. Just make sure to note that in the submission form so we know who the listing represents.
