SC Black Pride 20th Anniversary – HOMECOMING: Pride, Power & Purpose
For 20 years, SC Black Pride has stood as a beacon of empowerment, advocacy, celebration, and community for Black LGBTQ+ people across South Carolina and the Southeast. In 2026, we proudly celebrate this historic milestone with our 20th Anniversary Black Pride Week, themed “HOMECOMING: Pride, Power & Purpose.” This week-long celebration honors the pioneers, leaders, volunteers, partners, and community members whose dedication has shaped two decades of impact while inspiring the next generation of LGBTQ+ leadership.
From June 21–28, 2026, Columbia, South Carolina will become the gathering place for family, friends, alumni, advocates, and supporters to reconnect, celebrate our achievements, and recommit to the work ahead. The anniversary celebration will feature signature events including The State of Black Pride Address, 106 & Pride Lake Party, Trans Talk, Welcome Reception, Pride in the Park, the 20th Anniversary Homecoming Concert, Terrell Carter Meet & Greet, The White Party, and the Scholarship Brunch.
As the longest-serving Black LGBTQ+ organizations in South Carolina, SC Black Pride remains committed to advancing health equity, social justice, education, leadership development, and community empowerment. Our 20th Anniversary is more than a celebration—it is a tribute to our past, a reflection of our present, and a bold vision for our future.
