MashUp Weekend: Resurrection Renaissance

MashUp! Nashville presents MashUp Weekend 2026: Resurrection Renaissance, a three-day cultural uprising rooted in the bold, brilliant spirit of Nashville’s Black LGBTQ+ community. Taking place February 20–22, MashUp Weekend is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser and a cornerstone event that supports year-round health equity and community-building initiatives.

The weekend serves as a living tribute to the art, identity, and resilience passed down through generations of Black queer communities. It invites attendees to return to themselves—not as society has defined them, but as they truly are. MashUp Weekend brings together accessible health and wellness resources, creatives, nightlife, culture, and collective care across multiple events designed to celebrate and sustain Black LGBTQ+ life in Nashville.

This year’s theme, Resurrection Renaissance, reflects a powerful return to joy, visibility, and wholeness—rising again and again in the face of systems that seek to diminish Black queer existence.

Weekend Events Include:
FREE(k) Friday | Friday, February 20 | 8pm-1am (@ Lulo Club, 1046 3rd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37210)
A nightlife-forward kickoff featuring DJs, live performances, and high-energy celebration. Sexual wellness resources and harm-reduction support are integrated throughout the evening to ensure a pleasure-centered and safety-forward experience.

MashUp Family Reunion (Day Party) | Saturday, February 21| 11-5pm (@ Emerson Hall 2512 Gallatin Ave, Nashville, TN 37206)
A daytime gathering for the village. All day DJ, a Kid-zone, policy and advocacy panelists, line dancing, a talent and drag show, a community altar, health and wellness vendors, resources and panels, and Black queer joy that feels like home. Wellness activations and community care resources woven throughout.

The Resurrection Ball | Saturday Night, February 21 | 7pm-11pm (@ Emerson Hall 2512 Gallatin Ave, Nashville, TN 37206)
Hosted by the Music City ACC Ball, this ballroom experience showcases categories, competition, fashion, and performance — celebrating Black queer excellence, creativity, and self-expression.

Giving Out Loud Brunch | Sunday, February 22 | 12pm-4pm (@ Emerson Hall 2512 Gallatin Ave, Nashville, TN 37206)
The culminating and largest fundraising event of the weekend, Giving Out Loud Brunch features honorees, a curated program, performances, great food, full bar, and a live auction. Proceeds directly support the MashUp! family, health and wellness equity programming and community building initiatives.
